INTRO – Atlanta is a 225-feet tall mass timber and concrete tower located on a one-acre site at the corner of East Paces Ferry and Grandview Avenue. The structure will be comprised of a eight-story post tensioned concrete podium (four stories below ground, four stories above) below a 17-story mass timber tower. The podium structure would be comprised of commercial, lobby, mixed use, and parking while the timber tower would have 314 residential units, an amenity floor with exterior pool located on the 20th floor. Concrete walls at the elevator and stair cores provide the lateral support for the structure while a fourth floor PT slab acts as a transfer between the timber column grid above and the concrete columns below. All of this is supported on foundations integrated with a hydrostatic basement slab designed to resist the high water table.
