Forefront Structural Engineers (FSE) is a Chicago based, dynamic firm focused on excellence in our profession and solid business growth by building and growing great teams that take care of our clients.  Our work involves the design of high-rise, mid-rise and other unique buildings that require careful thought, creative engineering, and practical experience.  Our work involves both modern new post-tension buildings, tall mass timber, large scale CFS buildings, structural steel and adaptive re-use of historic buildings. Project Engineer

Position Overview

Project Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience. Develop and implement creative structural solutions from concept to completion through a collaboration with the Forefront Structural Engineers (FSE) team and Clients while working under the direct supervision of a senior structural engineer and/or manager.

Work on both major projects as well as moderate or smaller scope projects. Work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members under the direction of a senior structural engineer/manager.

Perform structural analysis and design tasks with structural steel and concrete. Illustrate a desire to grow professionally and grow quickly with analysis and design techniques necessary for both new construction and adaptive re-use projects alike.

Senior Structural Engineer \ Project Manager

Position Overview

Senior structural engineering manager with 15 to 18 years of experience. Develop and implement creative structural solutions from concept to completion through a collaboration with the Forefront Structural Engineers (FSE) team and Clients.

Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields within the structural engineering of buildings. Use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices of sciences and disciplines to complete assignments.

Work on both major projects as well as moderate or smaller scope projects with complex features simultaneously. Work independently as well as collaboratively while managing several engineers to complete project tasks. A servant leader who knows how to build maximum investment in the team while also helping in the analysis and design process themselves.

Work with firm principals, associate principals, and FSE team members to cultivate and implement a culture of responsibility and stewardship that extends from professional development to missional purpose.
