KLEO Life Center
The KLEO Life Center is a four-story, progressive mixed use residential and community center located on the south side of Chicago at the intersection of Garfield Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. The building is designed to be a creative environment for artists, community activists, and residents alike located at the confluence of Washington Park and Hyde Park. The ground floor will serve as an Arts incubator while the upper levels will provide affordable rental housing to the community.
The building structure is economically designed with a 2nd floor composite steel transfer podium supporting light-gauge residential framing above. This project features the first use of translucent polycarbonate wall panels in the City of Chicago which will bring both natural light into the residence and provide a vibrant exterior façade welcoming the community to be part of the transformational work inside.
